My OKR Methodology

Organizational Clarity

My first initiative, when assisting clients in implementing OKRs into their organization, is to work with the leadership team to define their corporate objectives. It is no simple task to find consensus within leadership on 1-3 areas of focus and then commit the whole organization to those areas of focus.

It is not unusual to have competing agendas among the leadership team, and finding consensus on 1-3 key corporate objectives can often be a process.

OKR Introduction To The Team

My second initiative is to work with leadership on a four-step process to introduce the OKR framework and introduce the agreed-upon corporate OKRs to the workforce.

Organizational Alignment

My third initiative is working with leadership and workforce employees to create employee-level OKRs that align with the corporate OKRs.

OKR Structure For Long-Term Adoption

My fourth initiative is to work with leadership to establish a framework of structure to help improve the chances of a successful implementation and long-term adoption.

To increase the chances of successful OKR implementation and long-term adoption, it is important to establish a structure around OKRs that consistently reinforces both the corporate OKRs as well as the individual employee OKRs.
